Distilled in 1979 and bottled in 2011 after 32 years of maturation, this 11th Release is a particularly elegant and precise version of the legendary Port Ellen distillery, which disappeared in 1983.
Less than 3,000 bottles were produced (exactly 2,988), making it a highly sought-after collector's item. The nose is of great purity: discreet smoke, candied lemon, sea salt, crunchy pear, wax and sweet spices. On the palate, the structure is dry, taut and balanced, with a beautiful peaty intensity, saline, herbaceous and lemony notes.
