Springbank Distillery, located in Campbeltown, continues Scottish traditions with this limited edition of its famous Local Barley. Distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2025, this 8-year-old single malt is made from Bere barley, an ancient variety grown locally at the High Ranachan farm, just two miles from the distillery.
Aged equally in bourbon and sherry casks, this whisky offers remarkable aromatic complexity. On the nose, rich malty notes mingle with aromas of black pepper, cigar box and sage. On the palate, an oily texture reveals flavours of shortbread, salted caramel and a herbaceous touch of basil. The finish is long and warm, leaving impressions of toffee and caramelized barley.
Bottled at 58.1%, this Springbank 8 Year Old is an authentic expression of the Campbeltown terroir, offering an intense and memorable taste experience.
