Chartreuse verte Connected Series

A liqueur made from 130 plants, the only known detail of a closely guarded secret recipe, Chartreuse owes its legendary status both to the Carthusian Order that created its various versions and to the Alpine massif whose name it bears. For decades, this refined spirit has travelled far beyond the cloisters, becoming part of popular culture in many parts of the world. Yet its production remains firmly rooted in tradition: it is still crafted in the heart of the Chartreuse mountains, near the Grande Chartreuse Monastery, where only three monks hold the secret to its mysterious formula.
