Launched in 2012, this version of the Springbank 21 Year Old marks a turning point in the distillery's history: it is the first edition to feature the brand new iconic gold packaging. An instantly recognizable bottle, which has become iconic for Campbellown collectors.
Aged in a precise balance of bourbon and sherry casks, this edition offers exceptional aromatic depth. On the nose, there are rich notes of caramel, dried fruit, soft leather and noble wood. The palate, ample and elegant, mixes figs, roasted walnuts, toffee, a hint of sea salt and a delicate smoky touch. The finish is long, warm, on candied fruit, aged leather and a beautiful saline minerality typical of Springbank.
Bottled at 46%, not chill-filtered, this single malt reflects the artisanal and complex identity of the distillery. A rare, emblematic bottle for enlightened connoisseurs.
