Here is one of the most coveted expressions of the mythical Port Ellen distillery: the 10th Release, distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2010 after 31 years of aging in second-fill sherry casks.
Limited edition of 3,000 bottles, this version is renowned for its aromatic finesse. The nose offers a remarkable balance between subtle peat, yellow fruits, beeswax, seaweed and medicinal touches. On the palate, the profile is rich, elegant and complex, alternating between saline sweetness, refined smoke and citrus zest, before a long, ashy and slightly herbaceous finish.
A collectible single malt, which embodies the excellence of Port Ellen before its closure in 1983. A monument of Scotch whisky.
