Located in the heart of Trelawny Parish, near the legendary Cockpit Country, the Hampden Estate distillery is one of Jamaica's oldest, founded in 1753. It is renowned for producing high-ester rums, characterized by bold and complex aromatic profiles. Hampden Estate employs traditional production methods, including wild fermentation with natural yeasts present on-site, resulting in exceptionally high ester levels, sometimes exceeding 3,000 gr/hlAA. Distillation is carried out exclusively in copper pot stills, an artisanal process that preserves the integrity of the aromas. The water used comes from a natural spring located a few kilometers from the distillery, in a pristine reservoir, offering exceptional purity due to the region's limestone soils. Today, Hampden Estate continues to produce quality rums, appreciated by connoisseurs worldwide for their unique character and aromatic intensity.

Swell by Spirits is created in 2021 by Michael Barbaria. Its bottlings come from a meticulous selection of exceptional barrels in collaboration with each producer, to which it pays homage by succeeding in captivating the most discerning taste buds of enlightened amateurs. Its bottles, with a design just as original as the liquid they contain, make Swell de Spirits a key player on the independent scene.
