Domaine des Hautes Glaces, founded in 2009 by agronomist Frédéric Revol, is a pioneering French distillery producing organic whisky. Located in Saint-Jean-d'Hérans, in the Trièves region of Isère, this farm-distillery embodies an eco-responsible approach and a quest for authentic flavours. Frédéric Revol is passionate about whisky and sustainable agriculture, and has chosen to grow the cereals used for distillation himself. The estate practises organic farming, growing local varieties such as barley, rye and spelt, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilisers. This approach aims to preserve soil fertility and minimise the carbon footprint.  Distillation at the Domaine des Hautes Glaces is carried out in the traditional way, using copper stills and a long fermentation process to encourage the expression of aromas. The whisky is aged in casks that have contained great French wines, such as Vin Jaune, Condrieu or Hermitage, giving the whisky complex notes and a unique depth. 

Swell de Spirits was created in 2021 by Michael Barbaria. Its bottlings are the result of a meticulous selection of exceptional casks in collaboration with each producer, to which it pays tribute by captivating the most discerning taste buds of discerning enthusiasts. Its bottles, with designs as original as the liquid they contain, make Swell de Spirits a key player on the independent scene.
