Miltonduff 1998 - Single Malt Scotch Whisky - 26 years old

CHF235.00

The Whisky Jury - Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Miltonduff 1998 - 26YO - 48.3% - 70cl -

This is their very first Miltonduff, and it immediately took their breath away.
The Whisky Jury fell in love with this cask from the first tasting. Its resolutely old-school profile spoke to them: slightly oxidized orchard fruits, a touch of wax, beautiful notes of cinnamon... and remarkable drinkability. At 48.3% in natural cask strength, it is a dram all in sweetness and seduction.

Founded in 1824 on the grounds of a former Benedictine monastery near Elgin, the Miltonduff Distillery draws its water from the crystal clear spring of Black Burn. Since its beginnings, it has been part of the great Speyside tradition, producing a subtle, floral and generous single malt, often described as a discreet pillar of the Ballantine's blend. Behind this essential function, however, lies a whisky with a strong identity, revealed over the course of the independent bottlings. Its style, marked by notes of fresh herbs, white fruits and honey, seduces connoisseurs in search of elegance and balance. Little highlighted by the mainstream scene, Miltonduff embodies a form of refined classicism, rich in know-how passed down for two centuries.

The Whisky Jury is a renowned independent bottler specializing in single cask whisky, rum and mezcal. Based in Belgium, The Whisky Jury is celebrated for its meticulous selection of rare and high-quality casks from some of the most prestigious and hidden distilleries worldwide. Each release is bottled at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or additives, preserving the full character and authenticity of the spirit. Whisky enthusiasts and collectors seek out The Whisky Jury for its limited-edition bottlings, known for their purity, complexity, and exceptional taste. Whether it's a rare single malt whisky, an exceptional rum or an artisanal mezcal, The Whisky Jury delivers uncompromising quality for true connoisseurs.
